Next Generation Battle League #1
Next Generation Battle League - 2026–2027 Season
Welcome to the Next Generation Battle League (NGBL), presented by One Take Studios!
NGBL is a youth-focused battle series for kids and teens of all levels, created to give the next generation a consistent opportunity to gain real battle experience, build confidence, develop their freestyle, and connect with the dance community.
Whether it is your first battle or you already have competition experience, NGBL is a place to step into the circle, challenge yourself, learn through experience, and continue growing.
The NGBL Experience
Throughout the season, dancers will have opportunities to:
Compete in Breaking 2v2 and Hip Hop/Freestyle 2v2 battles
Participate in open cyphers and compete for Cypher King & Queen
Receive scoring and evaluation from an experienced judges panel
Earn individual ranking points throughout the NGBL Series
Track their progression toward the Championship Finals
Build confidence, creativity, musicality, battle strategy, and performance presence
Connect and exchange with other young dancers in a positive community environment
The Road to the Championship Finals
NGBL is more than a single event. Each Series is part of a season-long journey leading toward the Championship Finals.
Dancers earn individual ranking points through their participation and battle results. Rankings are tracked throughout the season, giving dancers something to work toward while encouraging consistency, development, and continued participation.
The goal isn't only to find winners. It's to give young dancers more opportunities to get on the floor, gain experience, learn from each other, and grow from one event to the next.
